Flaky Sea Salt
A little crunch, a perfect finishing touch! These delicate sea salt flakes add a satisfying salty bite, then dissolve quickly on your tongue.
Uses
Sprinkle over steaks, fish, roasted vegetables, eggs, and salads just before serving. It’s also wonderful on avocado toast, warm bread, chocolate desserts, and caramel. Use as a finishing touch so you can enjoy the flakes’ texture.
From the Colonel
European chefs, especially the English, go out of their minds for this salt. As a Yank, I’ll say it’s good. You should probably try it for yourself.
Two Quick Recipes
Salted Chocolate Bark
Melt 8 ounces dark chocolate and spread thinly on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt and 2 tablespoons chopped toasted nuts. Refrigerate until firm, about 20–30 minutes, then break into pieces.
Flaky Salt Avocado Toast
Mash 1 ripe avocado with 1 teaspoon lemon juice and a little black pepper. Spread over 2 slices of toasted bread. Finish with a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil.
