Bay Leaves
A little leaf goes a long way! Bay leaves add subtle herbal flavor with earthy, slightly floral notes that develop as your dish simmers.
Use them in soups, stews, sauces, beans, rice, and braised meats. Start with one or two leaves and let them work their magic during cooking. Remove whole leaves before serving.
Ingredients: Bay leaves.
Quick Recipe: Bay Leaf Rice
Add 1 bay leaf and a pinch of salt to 1 cup rice, using the liquid amount and cooking time recommended on the package. Cook as directed, remove the leaf, and fluff before serving.
Quick Recipe: Savory White Beans
Combine 1 drained can of white beans, ½ cup broth, 1 bay leaf, 1 minced garlic clove, and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Simmer gently for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the leaf and season with salt and pepper to taste.
