  • 4 1 & 1/4 inch thick (or thicker) rib-eye, New York strip or filet mignons.
  • 2 tbsp Cooking oil of choice.
  • 1 oz. Rubie Red Steak Dust

Instructions

  1. Rub steaks generously with Rubie Red Steak Dust up to 24 hours in advance of intended cook time, wrap or cover and return to refrigerator. - Don't worry, even 15 minutes to an hour of a dry marinade will lend lots of flavor!
  2. 30 minutes before grill time, remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let rest to bring to room temperatue.
  3. Heat grill to high. Lightly brush steaks with oil of choice and place on the grill to cook until slightly charred, roughly 4 - 5 minutes. Flip steaks and continue to grill 3 - 5 minutes for medium-rare (135 F°), 5 - 7 minutes for medium (140 F°) or 8 - 10 minutes for medium-well (150 degrees F°).
  4. Transfer steaks to a cutting board and allow to rest roughly 5 minutes prior to cutting or serving.
